Be an Inclusive Community

Inclusive Community Training

Many of us think we are inclusive, but when we start to deconstruct our world view, we start to see the bias built into our views on the world and its people and we must acknowledge that we all have our own blind spots to address. Through this workshop, we hope to educate and encourage a change of attitude and understanding that we all have inherent bias that we must work to overcome in order to be a truly inclusive community. Not only to better ourselves, but to understand and advocate for vulnerable communities in Boise and beyond. No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.

In fall 2021, we were able to host Inclusive Community Training workshops provided by Francisco Salinas and Phil Allen. As we work to be a more inclusive community we were given resources, held breakout discussions, received information and training on implicit bias, learned and internalized racism, and micro-aggressions.

We are thrilled to be able to share our workshop materials and information with you!
