2026 stewardship commitment

Your Gift, Our Shared Mission!

Your pledge is an act of faith and hope. By sharing a portion of the gifts God has entrusted to you, you make it possible for us to be faithful in our worship, ministries, and mission!

Every gift—large or small—helps us live out Christ’s love in Boise and beyond.

Thank you for your generosity and commitment!

As we look toward 2026, we are excited to begin our annual Stewardship Campaign—a time to reflect on how our community lives out our faith through generosity. Each of us has been blessed in unique ways, and the gifts we share allow us to bring our best before God and serve our neighbors with love and care.

Our proposed budget for 2026 is $316,865, up from $245,498 in 2025. This growth is possible thanks to the generosity of our congregation: pledge & plate income so far is already at _________, and rental income has increased from $9,000 to $30,000. We believe this is an attainable goal if some of us prayerfully consider increasing our giving by up to 5% or begin giving for the first time.

The changes to the 2026 budget reflect our shared values and hopes for the future:

  • Mary, our Church Administrator, will receive a well-deserved increase to $41,000 plus health insurance for 30 hours/week, reflecting our commitment to economic justice, ensuring she receives a living wage.

  • Rev. Josh Lee’s compensation is partially increased to move closer to our denominational guidelines, with the hope of full alignment by 2027.

  • Mission giving grows from $13,000 to $20,000, moving us closer to dedicating 10% of pledged giving to work beyond our walls.

  • A new financial assistance line of $1,500 will help congregation members in need.

  • Operations expenses increase from $48,000 to $67,000 to properly care for our building and grounds.

We invite you to prayerfully consider your commitment—your pledge is your best intention, and it can be adjusted if circumstances change. Pledges help us plan with confidence and ensure that our vision for our ministry can be properly funded.

Please return your pledge form and Time & Talent Survey by Stewardship Sunday, November 9th. Forms can be placed in the Treasure Chest in the Narthex or submitted online at boisefirstucc.org/stewardship

Your faithful financial giving, and your gifts of talent and service, make this possible. Imagine what we can do together in 2026 with generosity, hope, and love.
