Worship Arts
Boise First UCC is blessed with many talented musicians who regularly share their gifts during worship.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is the anchor of our music program and open to everyone who enjoys singing and laughing. The choir participates regularly in Sunday worship at the 10:00 service.
Bell Choirs
Tintinnabulators
The Tintinnabulators is our ’senior’ five-octave handbell choir. They participate monthly in Sunday morning worship and on special occasions. In addition to church events, the bell choir also presents mini-concerts in the community. The members of the choir learn new skills in local and regional training events. Experienced new ringers are always welcome. For more information on joining this bell choir or our Beginning Bell Choir, or if you are interested in having the Tintinnabulators play for your event, contact Paula Weitemier.
Beginning Bells
The Beginning Handbell Choir is our training ground for new ringers. It is for anyone with little or no musical experience and a love of music and fun. The Beginning Choir participates in worship and provides support to the Tintinnabulators.
Director Paula Weitemier extends a special invitation to youth, 13 and older, to join this rewarding and fun activity. For more information, contact Paula Weitemier.
Historic pipe organ
Our Kimball pipe organ was originally built in 1911 by the George Graham Organ Company of Spokane. It has 12 ranks and 698 individual pipes. In our old church building, the keyboard and footboard console were surrounded by the choir seats and the pipes were behind that. When the old building was torn down, all the parts and pipes were stored temporarily. During the summer after we moved into our present building the organ was rebuilt into the sanctuary.
