Welcome to Boise First Congregational

What To Expect on  Sunday Morning Worship for First Time Visitors

When you arrive for worship you will be greeted and welcomed to the church.  If you have very young children (infants-toddlers) you have the option of placing the children in the loving care of our Paid Nursery Childcare team or bringing the children with you into worship. Nursery Childcare is lovingly provided from 9:45 am-11:15 am each Sunday.  You will find our Nursery room at the top of the stairs.  Children who are preschool age (3-5) through 5/6th grade are invited to begin the hour in Sunday School.  Please note:  All children are always welcome in worship!

Worship begins at 10 am, and is led by our Pastor and talented Music Ministry (Church Musician, Choral Director, and Director of Bell Choirs). Our worship experience includes traditional aspects of worship, enhanced by glorious music.  The service is approximately 60 minutes in length.

On the First Sunday of the Month, there is no Sunday School (Nursery Childcare is always available), and we join together with an All-Age Worship Service. While being sensitive to the developmental needs of our children, the service gives them an opportunity to learn about the joy of worshipping together as a church community.  The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) is open to all people – no matter where you are on your faith journey.  All are welcome at God’s table.

A few times each year we will worship outside of the church building, often going to a place of need and service.  These Church-In-Action Sundays combine worship, service and fellowship, and remind us that the church is not a building, but the people of God gathered together in love and service.

These unique services are always posted on the “What’s Happening" page of our website, in all our forms of announcements and on our Facebook Page.
